INDICATIONS AND USAGE

SPRYCEL® (dasatinib) is a prescription medicine used to treat:

  • adults with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase
  • adults with Ph+ CML who no longer benefit from, or did not tolerate, other treatment, including imatinib
  • adults with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) who no longer benefit from, or did not tolerate, other treatment
  • children 1 year of age and older with Ph+ CML in chronic phase
  • children 1 year of age and older with newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL in combination with chemotherapy

It is not known if SPRYCEL is safe and effective in children under 1 year of age.

For adult patients receiving SPRYCEL, the list price is $18,246* per month. Most patients will pay less.

If you have commercial insurance:

Commercially insured patients who qualify for the SPRYCEL co-pay program may pay as little as $0 per monthly supply.

If you have Medicare:

Patients who have prescription insurance through Medicare may pay $0 to $3,450 per month for SPRYCEL. 75% of Medicare patients pay $25 or less per month. For SPRYCEL, your costs are determined by your pharmacy coverage such as Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage (a.k.a., Part C), by your coverage phase, and your income level. If you have Medicaid:

Patients who have Medicaid may pay $0 to $20 per month for SPRYCEL. To find out if you qualify for Medicaid, or to get more information about co-payments in your state, use this link to visit the Medicaid website.

If you do not have insurance coverage:

If you do not have prescription drug coverage or your insurance does not cover SPRYCEL, you may pay the list price shown above, along with any additional pharmacy charges or discounts based on where you purchase your prescription medicine.

*As of January 2024, for a 30-day supply of 100 mg or 140 mg tablets. List price is also known as wholesale acquisition cost, or WAC. WAC is the price at which pharmaceutical manufacturers sell their products to wholesalers. Most people do not pay the list price for SPRYCEL. The pricing for pediatric patients may vary.

The completion and submission of all documentation to the patient's insurance plan is the responsibility of the provider and patient.

Bristol Myers Squibb and its agents cannot guarantee coverage for any treatment.

For eligible commercially insured patients enrolled in the BMS Co-Pay Assistance Program, the patient pays $0 out-of-pocket drug cost per 1-month supply. The program covers a maximum of $15,000 in co-pays per calendar year (excluding certain dispensing costs). Please refer to the Full Eligibility Terms and Conditions.
